Mainie – Taking Pride in What We Do

Luxurious, authentic and unique - Mainie Australia is where vibrant Aboriginal art meets fashion with purpose.

Founded in 2012 by Gunggari Aboriginal woman, Charmaine "Mainie" Saunders, Mainie exemplifies ethical and sustainable fashion.

From the very beginning, Mainie has been dedicated to principles of quality, integrity and customer satisfaction. The Mainie team takes pride in offering not just a beautiful product but an exceptional experience to every customer.

When you purchase a Mainie, you are not just buying a eye-catching fashion item, you are receiving a carefully curated piece of “wearable art.”

Destined to become a timeless heirloom piece, each Mainie garment is elegantly presented in a handmade gift box, accompanied by information about the original artwork’s provenance and the Aboriginal artist’s story.

Our customers consistently tell us how delighted they are when they open their parcel. While the softness and luxurious feel of our fashion pieces are unmatched, it’s the exquisite artistry and superior handcrafted finish of our scarves and kaftan tops that truly impress. Many of our online customers have shared that their Mainie pieces exceeded their expectations in beauty and quality.

We are humbled by our customers’ continued trust and loyalty and stand proudly behind the quality and integrity of our products. Complete customer satisfaction is our top priority. If we make a mistake, we endeavour to fix it as quickly as we can.

At Mainie, we believe every customer is a valuable ambassador for our brand. We want each person wearing a Mainie to feel part of our uniquely Australian story, sharing it proudly with friends and family.

Beyond fashion, Mainie is deeply committed to our mission of supporting traditional Aboriginal women artists and their families, many of whom are living in some of the most remote communities in Outback Australia.

Every Mainie sale enables these talented artists to earn an independent income and preserve the ancient Dreaming stories that have been passed down through countless generations.

Mainie Australia, Authentic Aboriginal Art, Traditional Warlpiri Women Artists, Fashion With Purpose, Ethical Fashion, Preserving Indigenous Culture

Traditional Aboriginal women artists keep alive the Dreaming stories that have been handed down to them by their ancestors over the milenia.

All original artworks featured in our designs are ethically acquired under licence in accordance with the Indigenous Art Code. The artists retain copyright to their designs and earn royalties from every piece we make.

By purchasing a Mainie, our customers are directly supporting the economic empowerment of Aboriginal women artists, their families and communities.

We are constantly inspired by the stories of our customers who return time and time again. Their continued support motivates us to keep striving for excellence.

If you have any suggestions about how we can improve, we’d love to hear from you.

Email us at info@mainie.com, we look forward to connecting with you.
